Minimize Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan

This view of the south-west coast of the Caspian Sea was acquired by UK-DMC2 on 09 September 2013.

The image illustrates the north-eastern part of Azerbaijan. In the upper left portion of the image is the Khachmaz district with the Khachmaz town as its centre. Shabran district is located to the south, in which there are mud volcanoes and hot springs. Siyazan district is in the bottom left part of the image.

In the upper left corner - Azerbaijan-Dagestan border and the ancient city of Derbent, the southernmost city in the Russian Federation.
