Dalinuoer volcanic field, China
This image, acquired by the Flock 1 constellation on 07 December 2014, shows the Dalinuoer volcanic field, in China.
Volcanic craters are visible in the image. These craters are known as maars, which are low and wide craters formed when an eruption is shallow and usually involve the volcanic material interacting with water in the area.
It is believed that the volcanoes in the Dalinuoer field erupted approximately 190,000 years ago.
