Notre-Dame de Paris devastation captured by Pléiades
Pléiades acquired this image, on 17 April 2019, after fire destroyed parts of the Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral in France. The 850-year-old Gothic building's roof and steeple has collapsed following the blaze on 15 April 2019. The solid oak roof structure called "The Forest", which was built from an estimated 1,300 trees, was part of the cathedral that was consumed by the fire. View the full resolution image.
