Minimize Verona, Italy

This Flock-1 image was captured on 17 August 2016 and shows the historic Italian city of Verona.

From the 3rd century BC, the city of Verona was used by the Romans as a key trading centre. Today, the city is a Unesco World Heritage Site.

The city boasts ancient gates, a forum (now Piazza delle Erbe) and its own amphitheatre – the Verona Arena. This arena is still used as one of the world's great opera venues.

The image clearly shows the Adige River winding through Verona, close to the arena and right through the heart of the city.
