This Flock-1 image, acquired on 12 January 2016, shows the beachfront neighbourhood of Waikīkī, in the city of Honolulu. Honolulu is the capital of the state of Hawaii, and a popular tourist destination.
Waikīkī's white beach is one of the destinations tourists come to visit, and the neighbourhood hosts many hotels, resorts and other commercial and social venues.
Standing out clearly in the bottom right of the image is Diamond Head, a crater formed by the explosive eruption of a vent which is estimated to have occurred 200,000 years ago. The crater, also known as Lēʻahi, is a national monument of the United States.
