Altai Territory, Russia
This image of the Altai Territory of Russia was acquired by the UK-DMC2 satellite on 19 December 2012.
The western part of the Altai Territory can be seen on the image with Biya and Katun Rivers, which merge and form the Ob' River.
The town of Biysk is in the centre of the image, where the monument in commemoration of Vladimir Lenin is located.
The Altai District of Altai Territory is clearly seen in lower left part of the image with the Altaiskoye village as its administrative center.
The town of Gorno-Altaisk is in the lower right part of the image.
