How does Copernicus support the UN Sustainable Development Goals?
03 August 2018
Copernicus, the European Union's flagship programme for Earth Observation and Monitoring, can be used to support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), as set out by the United Nations (UN), in Europe and worldwide.
The Copernicus full, free and open data and thematic services' information on e.g. the atmosphere, land, oceans and ice coverage, either help to monitor the status of achievement of a given SDG or actively contribute to its fulfilment.
